The Brief
Our Client, a highly regarded private university in Southern California, was seeking to create a succession plan and was in search of a Vice Chancellor to oversee their online university division. Their current Chancellor was a traditional higher education leader, and he needed the assistance of an online Chancellor.
The Approach
Our Client was in search of an online education leader, with an emphasis on retention. We focused our search on competing not-for-profit universities in the Los Angeles area. Through the search process it was clear that we needed to shift our search to college's that were already very successful in online education. We transitioned to for-profit colleges, they were pioneers in online education.
The Result
The candidate we identified had an impressive background in student affairs and online education. He served as Vice President of Student Affairs and Vice President of Online Education at a nationally recognized for-profit university. Furthermore, he chaired the English as a Second Language (ESL) division of the university's online program. As a diversity hire, he brought unique knowledge, experience, and perspective to the workplace, contributing to a more inclusive and diverse environment.
